Opening Weekend

Show us the birds you've bagged, the gear that you're proud to take into the field, or even just the beautiful sites that you've seen while hunting quail.

Thought I would post some pics I got over opening weekend. No bird pics to put up but hopefully that will change this coming weekend

Cool pics! Looks like a nice place, minus the spiders! That thing is a beast.

on the subject of spiders, my wife and I had an unerving exprience one year. We were driving to Bisbee for dinner, and on the other side of Tombstone, there was a migration of these beasts. Hundreds, if not thousands of them. Crossing the road. Just a moving sea of them. Couldn't drive without squishing more than a few of them. Right after the monsoon rains.

Found out they were all males. Seeking to mate. Happens like that as the males only mate once in their life. The males are about 7 years old when they mate, and then they become baby food. Heck of a way to spend your life, if ya ask me! :?

I've seen the same thing once up by Florence about 10 years ago. Kind of unnerving but pretty cool at the same time.
